The Rich Man’s Dilemma. The Camel Passing Through The Eye of the Needle
“It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God” – Jesus the Christ
There are some people who are born rich, or acquired sudden wealth and find it difficult to empathize with the poor and the needy. They do not understand the feeling and plight of the poor and needy and because they cannot see or feel what the poor feels, they find it difficult to give to them.
They miss an opportunity to see things from a broader and higher perspective, from the perspective of the Kingdom of Heaven. They miss an opportunity to be part of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Their eyes are blind from merriment, their mouths and belies are full of wine, they are drunk, with mirth they miss the way.
No wonder it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of the needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.
Blessed is the rich man who empathizes with the poor.
Remember ” Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me” – Jesus the Christ.
